Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer 1 ATI1 (9x00) Revision 1
The new Arctic Cooling ATi1 VGA Silencer combines very effective
cooling with little noise.
The black intake fan sucks air inside the housing and pushes it across
a radiator duct finally exhausting out the rear of the case chassis. The
Graphics Processing Chipset is effectively cooled and the warm air from
the VGA card is expelled from the case. This contributes to lower overall
case temperatures by preventing warm air from being recycled.
As an overclocker the VGA Silencer is a proven
performer, offering less or comparable noise while cooling substantially
better than stock VGA coolers. The heatsink consists of aluminum fins
with a copper base which guarantees excellent heat dissipation.
Suitable for:
ATI 9500 Pro, 9600 Pro/ XT, 9700 Pro, 9800 (with glued memory heat sinks)
Note: some models may not be supported. Please consult Arctic-Cooling to ensure compatability with your card.

Note:
The New ATI 9800 Pro and 9600 boards use 3 pole power connectors. Since
the third pole (RPM Signal) is of no significance nor can this signal
be utilized by the graphic card, there is no disadvantage using the VGA
Silencer. The 2 pole plug should be connected to the 3 pole connector,
so that the black and red cables
are connected to the same pins as the case was before with the 3 pole
connectors.
