Upon many requests we are proud to introduce the Nexus NX-4090 power supply. The latest edition to our power supply series is a 400 Watt (true power) power supply based on the successful design of the NX-3500. The Nexus NX-4090 produces an amazing 16.2 dB(A) in idle mode and surely leads the market.

The NX-4090 is version ATX 2.0 compatible. Currently the NX-4090 is equipped with an 20-pin motherboard connector and to fully comply with the ATX 2.0 standards you require a 20-pin to 24-pin adapter cable.

Nexus honey comb grill structure for more airflow and better efficiency

The Nexus NX-3500 and NX-4090 have a honey comb grill structure for more airflow. The honey comb grill structure is more efficient than standard circle stamped grill structures.
ATX 2.0 compatible!

The Nexus NX-4090 is ATX 2.0 compatible and can be used on 24-pin motherboards using the special 20-pin to 24-pin adapter cable. This adapter cable is sold seperatly and is not included in the package.

Adaptercable available for 24-pin motherboards!

 
Specifications:
  • Remote ON/OFF Control: The power supply shall accept a logic open collector level which will disable/enable all out put voltage (excluding +5V standby)

  • Output voltage hold-up time:

    • 15.0mS minimum: at 115V / 50 Hz

    • 12.0mS minimum: at 230V / 50 Hz.

  • Operation at no load: The power supply will be capable of being operated with no load on any or all outputs without damage.

  • Over voltage protection:

    • +5V : 6.5V(max.)

    • +3.3V : 4.6V(max.)

    • +12V1 : 15.5V(max.)

    • +12V2 : 15.5V(max.)

  • Over current protection: There shall be protection from an output over-current event. The power supply may shutdown from such an event and require power-on restart. Testing consists of application of the listed over-current value with maximum load on all other outputs. Over-current test values: (maximum load)
    • +3.3V : 80A(max.)

    • +5V    : 68A(max.)

    • +12V1 : 45A(max.)

    • +12V2 : 45A(max.) 

  • Short current protection: A short circuit at any output shall cause no damage to the power supply nor blow the primary fuse. The power supply may shut down in the event of a short circuit and require power-on restart. A short circuit consists of application of a test resistance of less then 0.05 ohms at each output with maximum load on all outputs.

  • Output risetime: The cold-start enable output voltage risetime of all outputs shall be measured with maximum load on all outputs. Riseti me (10-90%):

  • Output overshoot: No output voltage shall overshoot or generate spikes at turn-on or turn-off, during momentary power loss, output short, or realistic input voltage or output load changes. Overshoot is defined as any output that exceeds the voltage tolerance plus or minus an additional 5%.

  • Efficiency: Overall efficiency must be 70% min. measured at normal AC mains voltage and frequency with maximum loads on all outputs.

  • Power good signal: 115/230V (full load): 100-500mS

  • Temperature range:

    • operating 0oC~50oC

    • storage -20oC~+65oC

  • Relative Humidity: 90%

  • Safety requirements: TUV EN60950, NEMKO + CB REPORT, IEC 60950, UL 60950

  • Dielectric strenght: Primary to frame ground: 1800 Vac for 1 sec. Primary to secondary: 1800 Vac for 1 sec.

  • Insulation resistance: Primary to secondary: 20 Meg. ohms min. Primary to frame ground: 20 Meg. ohms min.

  • Ground leakage current: The power supply ground leakage current shall be less than 3.5mA
